November 24, 2015 Douglas Shaw & Associates

At this special time of year, we give thanks for the gifts we’re given and the people in our lives.  We at Douglas Shaw & Associates asked our colleagues to share their blessings and what they’re thankful for, both today and every day.

“I am thankful for my family.  Every day I am amazed to see the incredible young men my boys have become and having my husband by my side for this wonderful journey.  We are truly blessed.”

“Saving the lives of unborn babies, providing much-needed medicines around the globe, sharing the Gospel in places where the name of Jesus has never been spoken . . . I cannot imagine a greater privilege than to take part in the work of our clients.”

“I am thankful for my sweet puppy and the great joy she brings into my life.”

“I’m thankful for the privilege of helping donors experience the lifesaving work their generosity is accomplishing around the world. I show them photos and testimonials of lives changed forever because of their abundant kindness—people helping people to make the world a better place. What better way to invest my energies than this?”

“I’m thankful for my cat, Bobby. My office chair is covered in cat hair, but it is completely worth it because she is the sweetest, most hilarious companion I could have ever asked for!”

“I’m very thankful for being able to volunteer at temple on my free time.”

“I get to read every piece of direct mail we print for all of our clients, which means I read all of the stories and interviews about changed lives. Though my part is small, knowing I have a hand in making positive life-change possible for people I’ve never met is incredibly rewarding.”

“I am thankful for my loving family, they mean everything in the world to me.”

“I am thankful for my health and the freedom and ability to enjoy the simple things in life.”

“I’m thankful—grateful—that I get to do (write) what I do (for charities worldwide) with whom I’m proud to serve (Douglas Shaw & Associates). What’s better than that, workwise—purpose-wise—at the end of the day, or a good, long way through a career?”

“I am thankful to still have my mom and dad going strong at 83 and 80 years young.”

“I’m thankful for strong and loving relationships with my husband and family.”

“I am thankful for my husband, whom I married this year. He is my biggest supporter, my rock and my best friend.”

“I am thankful for the strength to deal with the challenges of each day, and also experience the joys as well.”

From all of us at Douglas Shaw & Associates – wishing you a very happy, blessed and grateful Thanksgiving.
