Mail Shop Production Assistant

Scope:   Key to the daily operations of the Production Department, the Mail Shop Production Assistant provides quality print production management to the clients of Douglas Shaw & Associates.  Applicant must know scheduling, planning, and print production, as well as demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.  Position requires solid written and verbal communication skills, paired with the demonstrated ability to organize work and multitask.  Knowledge of lettershop and postal regulations is preferred.  Various responsibilities include data coordination, print production management, postproduction functions, and shipping/receiving.  Reports to the Production Manager

Education required:  Associate’s degree or industry-related work experience

Account Coordinator

Scope:  The Account Coordinator is a fundamental member of the Client Services Support Team who helps build and maintain positive tactical-level relationships with assigned clients.  The “AC” ensures that client project deadlines are met through effective project management, while maintaining positive internal relationships with other departments throughout the Company.  Finally, the AC compiles and prepares reports for internal and client purposes.  Reports to Vice President for Client Services.

Education required:  Bachelor’s degree

Senior Consultant

Scope:  As a senior member of the Client Services Consulting Team, the Senior Consultant provides strategic direction and manages assigned client relationships.  In conjunction with a team, the Senior Consultant develops and implements fully integrated fundraising plans with the latest approaches to direct response communication and messaging to meet the client’s financial needs.  Finally, the Senior Consultant initiates sales activity with current clients and within current markets served to further develop and grow the company.  Reports to the Vice President for Client Services

Consultant

Scope:  As a key member of the Client Services Consulting Team, the Consultant provides strategic direction and manages assigned client relationships.  In conjunction with a team, the Consultant develops and implements fully integrated fundraising plans with the latest approaches to direct response communication and messaging to meet the client’s financial needs.  Reports to the Vice President for Client Services.

Associate Consultant

Scope:  The Associate Consultant provides analytical and creative support to the Client Services Consulting Team.  As he/she grows in this role, the Associate Consultant moves toward providing strategic direction to and managing aspects of assigned client relationships.  In conjunction with a team, the Associate Consultant helps and learns to develop and implement fully integrated fundraising plans to meet the client’s financial needs.  Reports to the Vice President for Client Services.

Travel Expectations:  15-25%
Education required:  Bachelor’s degree
Years experience required:  1-3 or equivalent marketing/agency experience

Senior Graphic Designer

Scope:  As a member of the Creative Services Team, the Senior Graphic Designer (SGD) designs effective, response-generating direct response fundraising and communications materials.  These include, but are not limited to, direct mail packages, newsletters, annual reports, print ads, and collateral materials.  Experience with Internet is a plus, but not required.  In the process, the Senior Graphic Designer helps DSA redirect client communications from an institutional focus to a donor focus utilizing its Donor-Focused Strategic Marketing® platform.  Reports to Director of Creative Services.

Education required:  Associate’s degree or industry-related course certifications
Years experience required:  5-7; a minimum of 2 years in direct response.

Data Analyst

Scope:The Data Analyst position on our Information Systems & Support Team provides excellent information systems support to the fundraising efforts of DSA’s clients.  He/she also participates in DSA’s technological innovation efforts within DSA’s internal business and information systems.  The Data Analyst possesses a working knowledge of SQL programming, an extensive knowledge of computers (both hardware & software), understands relational database language and models, and is able to thoroughly document her/his work activity with a keen attention to detail.  Reports to Manager of Information Systems and Support

Education required: Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Computer Science 
Years experience required:  1-3 or educational equivalent
